TV Series: Once Upon A Time (2011) Season 1

I always love fairy tales and I instantly loved this series because the story revolves around the classic fairy tales and magic. The show tells us that there is an alternate world where every classic fairy tale character exists but without magic. The main characters are Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, Henry and his mother, Emma Swan. 

It's actually good and how they've written the story is impressive. They've threaded every story together making it connected with each other. I love how every princess is friends with one another and that Snow White and Prince Charming have a daughter, who will be their savior in the future. 

Emma Swan played by Jennifer Morrison
Emma is a bail bonds collector who was abandoned by the side of a road as a new born. Twenty eight years later, she is found by Henry, who she gave up for adoption 10 years prior, and the boy insists that she's the one who can break the curse of his town, Storybrooke, Maine, where time has stopped until her arrival.

 Prince Charming played by Josh Dallas / Snow White played by Ginnifer Goodwin
Our Prince Charming and Snow White who always find each other. They are the parents of Emma Swan who put her in a wardrobe to save her from the curse of the Evil Queen. Snow White is Mary Margaret Blanchard in our world, a teacher who is close with Henry because she thinks he's special. Prince Charming is a John Doe who went into a coma until Mary Margaret woken him up.

Evil Queen played by Lana Parrilla 
 Goes by the name of Regina, the Evil Queen was the one who cast the spell who put everyone in Storybrooke frozen in time with no memory of their past selves. She adopted Henry in our world and is sincere in loving him but Henry doesn't quite trust her because of her secrets. 

Rumplestiltskin played by Robert Carlyle
It's not until Season 2 that I learn his name. Tsk. But anyway, Rumplestiltskin or Mr. Gold, is the bad guy of the story. He has dark magic and anyone who asks for his help needs to give him something in return. He's kinda scary but he has his share of story. He's the one who told Snow and Charming that their child would be the one who will save them from the curse of the Evil Queen.

Henry Mills played by Jared Gilmore
Henry was adopted by Regina but his birth mother is Emma. He's the one who brought back Emma to Storybrooke and since then they unravel the truth about their town. 

I also love Ruby (Red Riding Hood) because she's friends with Snow and she's a bad ass. Hihi :")

I give it 4/5 stars and I suggest you watch it too especially if you love fairy tales like me. It will make you miss those classic fairy tales we've seen when we were kids. I'm only on the 2nd Season so I have a lot of catching up to do because Season 5 will be aired later this September.

Synopsis: (D-Addicts)

An angel, who is in charge of sending the dead to the other realm, suddenly finds herself a part of the human world and struggles to get back to her own. She meets Shin Woohyun (Nam Woo hyun) and Hwang Sungyeol (Lee Sung yeol), both are high school students and befriends them. Thinking that she had amnesia, Woohyun takes her in and the angel starts to go by her fake name, Lee Seul Bi (Kim Sae ron). Though he had initially found her annoying and would constantly push her away, a series of events causes Woohyun to fall for her with Sungyeol as his rival for her love. However, by the time anything had developed between them, Woohyun then finds out about her identity and is forced to keep it a secret for a year, otherwise, she would disappear from the human world. As hard as it already was to help her hide her identity, Woohyun faces the wrath of another angel who was determined to bring Seul Bi back to the spirit world, while at the same time, he struggles to improve his relationship with Sungyeol, who wanted nothing more than Seul Bi and a proper family.

I always love a drama about high school and this one is good. Another thing that made me watch this is the lead actress Kim Sae ron. She's really cute and I like her acting. Woo hyun of Infinite also caught my attention and since this drama I got to love Infinite even more.

 Jae suk: Hey! What is Seul bi's true identity? A prostitute? Someone with powers? There are so many rumors. 

Woo hyun: You want to know? My girlfriend.

Seul bi: Even if you make everyone in the world unhappy... there's always going to be one person happy thanks to you.

Woo hyun: And who is that?

Seul bi: (raises hand) Me! Me!

I also love this drama because it teaches us things about family, friendship and everything else in life. Like how Woo hyun cares about his half brother, Sung yeol, even if Sung yeol hates him.

Woo hyun: He and I are both sprinting towards a dead end cliff. If he falls off first, then I will make sure to snatch him back up. So don't worry.

Sung yeol's father: What if you fall first?

Woo hyun: I can't. I have someone to protect.

 Sung yeol hates his step mom, who is Woo hyun's mother, but she cares for him so much.

 Seul bi: Let's look for your parents. I'm sure we can find them.

Woo hyun:  I don't need them. they ran away from me. I don't want to see them.

Seul bi:  Liar.

Woo hyun:  I won't ever look for them again.

Seul bi: Why do you keep on lying?

...

Woo hyun: All I need is you.

Seul bi: ...

Woo hyun:  See? The truth speaks.

 Friendship.

Sung yeol also likes Seul bi and he knows who Seul bi really likes but he's still willing to wait.

 Seul bi: I'm sorry. It's because I asked you to eat black noodles with me. Don't be sick.

Sung yeol: I need to be sick more.

Seul bi: No!

Sung yeol: You finally look at me when I'm sick.

 Sung yeol: I always try not to smile even when you smile at me. I try not to answer you back when you talk to me. I always tell myself to do that everyday. But... I could never do it once. So... I will wait.

 *reason why someone fall in love even more.

 Jae suk: Who were those guys?

Girl: Those guys? They said they worked for an agency. I had my shots to impress them and you ruined it.

Jae suk: And that's the only agency? You want me to start a label for you?

 Ki soo: You used to be so healthy. What is going on?

Woo hyun: I know... my heart must be leaking.

Ki soo: Then hire a plumber to fix it.

Woo hyun: I'm just afraid, I think patching it only makes the hole bigger.

 Human Angel: You don't look so good. When you're in love, you "ache for another". But you two are even sharing that pain. This must be real love.

Woo hyun: So when Seul bi was hurt, I was hurting too?

Human Angel: Seul bi is so lucky to have you with her.

Woo hyun: I can't be with her anymore.

Human Angel: But your heart is always with Seul bi. Always next to her.

 Letting go is always hard.

Woo hyun: Don't leave me behind in a world without you. I miss you Seul bi.
Seul bi: (appearing behind him crying) I'm right here. Right behind you. Next to you. I was always here.
Woo hyun: Where have you been? Don't you ever leave me again. Don't you ever leave me behind.

 And there are always happy days...

 *Woo hyun being Woo hyun. Tsk.

Woo hyun: (looking at the necklace) I wish I had mine too.

Seul bi: (revealing Woo hyun's necklace) Yours is right here.

 Woo hyun: Where did you find that?

Seul bi: I can finally find its rightful owner.

Woo hyun: (taking the necklace from Seul bi and putting it on her)

Seul bi: But this is your half.

Woo hyun: That's why I'm giving it to you. Because you're mine.

 Woo hyun: Make sure you're on my side later. Okay?

 Woo hyun: The look on your face says that you've been waiting for me.

Seul bi: Is waiting a good thing?

Woo hyun: Waiting for someone that will never come back is hard. But waiting for someone who will come to you should be exciting.

 Woo hyun: What should I buy you when I make a lot of money?

Seul bi: *thinking...

 Woo hyun: Make it quick. One, two, three...

Seul bi: All I need is you!

Woo hyun: Wow, that's the perfect timing to say that.

...

 *falling together...

*I'm safe...

 Woo hyun: What is this?

Seul bi: Your heart and my heart are all locked in here so that they can't run.

 And of course, confession time...

 Isn't this sweet? :")

 This is when everyone finds out that Seul bi is an angel and they decided to keep her secret so that she won't disappear.

 But every story always has a twist, right? On this drama, Seul bi meets an accident causing her to lose her memory then disappears.

 *Letter from Seul bi

It would be great if I was together with you when you receive and read this letter. I’m praying today that will happen. But if it happens that I’m not by your side, even if we don’t recognize each other, we’ll meet again because of this necklace…let’s love each other all over again.

Hello – I’m Lee Seul Bi, who loved Woo Hyun very much.

Woo Hyun-ah. Have I ever said these words to you? I love you. Even if I can’t remember all our memories, I love you still. 

After some time, they found Seul bi again but she doesn't remember any of them. Woo hyun is surprised but he's also determined to get her back.

 
 Woo hyun: My name is Shin Woo hyun.
Seul bi: I'm... I'm... Cheon Sa rang.

*Seul bi also has a change of heart because now she likes Sung yeol over Woo hyun.

This is when Woo hyun offers Sa rang a job at their noodle shop. Everyone can't seem to believe that the girl in front of them is not Seul bi because they look exactly the same. It's funny how they suddenly look away every time Sa rang turns to see if they are staring at her.

*tying her shoe laces
Woo hyun: I do this all the time. Tie your shoes well, or you will fall.
Sa rang: ...
Woo hyun: Hold my hands when you fall.
Sa rang: Then you will fall with me.
Woo hyun: Then it's less embarrassing and we can get up together.
Sa rang: Then I shouldn't fall. I don't think you should get hurt.
Woo hyun: Why not?
Sa rang: You're the boss and you need to pay me.


*This brings back memories to Woo hyun because Seul bi used to tell him those exact words. 

 They get to spend time together again and one night, when Woo hyun is walking Sa rang home, she suddenly remembers everything making her cry.
 

 I cried on this scene especially when Seul bi started calling Woo hyun puppy again. :"((

After that, everything goes back to normal again. Seul bi comes back to Woo hyun and with their friends they celebrate Seul bi's come back.

 

 Woo hyun: What about my Christmas present?
Seul bi: Hmm..
Woo hyun: You're all I need.
Friends: (protesting) Aiissh.Enough already!
Woo hyun: My present is... Me!
Seul bi: (imitates Woo hyun acting cute)
Friends: (protesting again) I said enough!

 I like it when Woo hyun and Seul bi act cute in front of their friends that they get irritated everytime. HAHAHA xD

And here's our Happy Ending! :D

 We got back together as if we were fated together. We love each other again. Our youth and love to be remembered. In our beautiful 20's we are in love again.
