Book: Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern

I've read this book many times before and decided to read it again last night since I'm really excited for the movie. It's one of my favorites and it makes me laugh and cry every time. I just love the characters, the story and how Rosie and Alex finally realized that they were meant to be together after so many years of trials, heartaches, and lost. It's one of those stories we all wished we have because who wouldn't want a bestfriend anyway? Even if  it's a boy.

I love hove how Rosie and Alex stayed in touch even after Alex went to Boston to study and how they grew up apart but still didn't forget that they were bestfriends and nothing or no one can change that even if their boyfriends/girlfriends didn't like them because they were the best of bestfriends. It was a really good story with a lot of twists that I really wanted to jump into the book and tell Rosie "no, go to Alex!". But then I was happy that in the end they still found their way back to each other. If only Rosie told Alex sooner about the silence she felt when she kissed him back in Boston and if only Alex was also brave enough to tell Rosie about the same silence that made him crazy thinking about, then maybe they found love much much sooner. After all, soul mates always end up together.

First Love

What's with me and first loves? Seriously! Why do I feel so much about it? I mean, I feel different everytime I watch movies about first love. When the guy finally realizes that he likes the girl and for the first time he knows that he's in love and sort of things. Or when the girl breaks up with her boyfriend because she realizes that she doesn't really love him and that she's in love with someone else. Or when the guy is with the girl he likes and respects her and do things the girl will like. Oh please! I'm so done with first love but why? I guess maybe because I remember the feeling of having your first love. When you feel all happy and excited seeing that guy and you just want to be with him all the time. Anyway, I just miss that feeling. 

But who doesn't remember his/her first love? Everyone remembers their first love! I do. But won't tell you about it anymore. :)

Nick Santino, This Century and The Maine

Show started around 7:30 and when the lights turned out it was time to scream and jump. I was with my sister and we really enjoyed the night. Nick started the show and I love him. I was not familiar with the songs he played but I sang my heart out when he sang Baby Blue Eyes. It was my favorite part of the show. We really love that song and we love love love Nick so much! It's just so sad that ARTTM is already disbanded. My sis and I screamed all throughout his performance and we don't regret it. Next was This Century. I know them but I'm not familiar with their songs. Sure I heard about them before but I'm not a fan. But when we saw and heard them last night, instantly I became a fan. They were good and I like Joel. They performed 7 songs, I think, and only Slow Dance Night was the one I knew. There were breaks in between artists and The Maine showed up around 9:30. It was epic. They were so good and I love them! I knew almost all the songs they played and I super enjoyed Right Girl! I also loved it when they played Into Your Arms because it's one of my favorite songs! It was really an amazing night. Thank you Nick, This Century and The Maine for coming here and we really hope you would come back here soooon!

Plot:

Dr. Ellen Sanders' family is taken hostage the night before she is scheduled to perform a surgery on President Paul Kincaid. The kidnappers led by a rouge FBI agent, Duncan Carlisle, orders Dr. Sanders to assassinate the president during the surgery in exchange of the freedom of her family.

The plot of the series is what got me to watch this one. It's intriguing and I like the suspense it gives to the audience. At first I was having a hard time understanding the characters but as the story progresses, everything that's happening starts to makes sense. Why Duncan chose Dr. Sanders, why they want the president dead, for whom they're doing that and everything else. And like most thrilling series that make you want to jump inside the story so you can tell the characters what to do, this one has some scenes where you want to grab the characters and redo what they just did. But I guess it's just normal to have some stupid characters/scenes and pot holes in the story. 

I also love Dylan McDermott that's why I watched this one but the other actors were not that good. Their acting was poor which lessen the series' appeal.

Eight years and still counting. I really thank God for giving me wonderful, amazing, funny and crazy bestfriends! :) For 8 years we shared happiness, sadness, crazy adventures, funny moments and different experiences with each other. Eight years of wonderful and blessed friendship. 

I really hope we could stay like that until we grow old and time will come that we will laugh at ourselves as we look back at our old times together. We will laugh at the stupid things we did together and smile at the memories we made together. We will cry when we remember the hard times we had but then smile as we remember that we had each other as we faced those hard times of our lives.

Life is really hard without bestfriend/s and I can't imagine my life without these people. I love them as I love my sisters. God gave me 3 sisters but Marc, May and Larra have always been and will always be like real sisters too. They're part of my family.

He. Is. Wonderful.

I spent my whole night watching their band's mvs and I love them! Now I can say that I am officially their fan. I just love their vids and they have beautiful songs. My favorites are Heartbreak Girl, Try Hard and Wherever You Are. They're also funny and talented and I love Luke. He's so wonderful and the way he sings is so ugh! I just don't know why I'm so into guys who play guitar. :)))

It really warms my heart everytime I see posts like these.

People helping and caring for other people. 

 Just think how much a simple act of kindness can brighten one's day or maybe life. It really makes me happy to see these acts of kindness and may God bless these people. :)

I salute those people who can do good for others without asking anything in return. Let's be like them and I promise the world would be a better place! :D

First Wedding Event

I was invited by my friend on one of her events last Saturday and I really enjoyed it. She's an event coordinator and she's been telling me she'll get me in on their team one of  these days coz I really love events too.

She asked me the night before if I want to help her with the event and of course I said yes especially because it was a wedding. So she told me everything I had to know from what to wear to what to do and I  was so excited because it was my first event that I really prepared myself for it. So we met early in the morning and drove up to the hotel to check the bride. My friend was in charged on the bride and I was in charged to check the church and the reception. It was kinda difficult at first and we were short of time to do the remaining preparations because our head wasn't able to prepare some of the things we needed but then we were able to finish everything just before the ceremony started. It was kinda tiring but really wonderful. I mean, I always love weddings and I've never been to many before and seeing an actual one happening in front of me really amazed and moved me. That feeling when you see the bride walking to meet the guy and they looked at each other, that's my favorite part.

It was around 4 when we went back to the reception. It was already done and everything was ready. The program started 6 in the evening and everything went smoothly for us. I met new friends and we all enjoyed it. We helped each other side by side until it ended and it was a job well done.

I didn't only enjoy it but I also earned. Thanks to my friend who invited me. :)

Oh well, new year, everyone should have a new beginning but me. Same drama, old shit. I told myself I would be okay, I would be fine but I guess I just can't bring myself to be that way. It's just too hard when everything around you is a mess. Your family, your friends, everything. It's hard to pretend you're happy when you're not. It's hard to smile when all you want to do is cry. Everyone thinks you're fine because you're putting up a fake smile and it's damn harder when they believe you that you are fine.

But this is life. We should learn to get used to it. Be strong. Be brave. Eventually, everything will be fine. Someday.
