#life

She likes to sleep. It makes her forget about it.”

Everything. Sleep makes me forget about everything that I almost wish I could sleep forever. Almost.

I know it's normal to feel down, tired, sad, disappointed, rejected, heartbroken, left out, mad or confused sometimes. Or most of the times, everything at the same time. And I also know that it's okay to cry if you can't take it anymore. It's okay to take a breath or to pause or to scream or to cry your heart out. It's okay to let it all out. It's okay. But after, tell yourself you're gonna be fine, that everything is going to be fine. Because it's true that everything get's better, everything will be alright. You just have to believe it, you just have to make it alright. So scream now, let it all out then take a deep breath. And I'm sure tomorrow you'll feel better. Tomorrow you'll feel lighter.
Believe me you will be fine! :)

The Words - Christina Perri
All of the lights land on you
The rest of the world fades from view
And all of the love I see please, please say you feel it too
And all of the noise I hear inside
Restless and loud, unspoken and wild
And all that you need to say
To make it all go away
Is that you feel the same way too

And I know the scariest part is letting go
Cause love is a ghost you can’t control
I promise you the truth can’t hurt us now
So let the words slip out of your mouth

And all of the steps that led me to you
And all of the hell I had to walk through
But I wouldn’t trade a day for the chance to say
My love I’m in love with you

And I know the scariest part is letting go
Cause love is a ghost you can’t control
I promise you the truth can’t hurt us now
So let the words slip out of your mouth

I know that we’re both afraid
We both made the same mistakes
An open heart is an open wound to you
And in the wind of a heavy choice
Love has a quiet voice
Still you mind, now I’m yours to choose

And I know the scariest part is letting go
Let my love be the light that guides you home

And I know the scariest part is letting go
Cause love is a ghost you can’t control
I promise you the truth can’t hurt us now
So let the words slip out of your mouth

Masterpiece - Jessie J

So much pressure
Why so loud?
If you don't like my sound
You can turn it down
I gotta go
And I'm walking alone
Uphill battle
I look good when I got it
I'm ferocious but cautious
I get doses... not gonna stop
I like the view from the top

They talk that blah blah
That blah blah, that blah blah sh*t
And I'm so done, I'm so over it
Sometimes I mess up, I eff up, I hit and miss
But I'm okay, I'm cool with this

[Chorus]
I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can't color inside the lines
Cause I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece
And I, I wanna hang with the greatest
Got a way to go, but it's worth the wait
No, you haven't seen the best of me
I'm still working on my masterpiece

 [Verse 1
So much pressure, why so loud?
If you don't like my sound you can turn it down
I got a road and I walk it alone
Up hill battle I look good when I climb
I'm ferocious, precocious, I get rigadocious
I'm not gonna stop, I like the view from the top

[Pre-Chorus 1]
You talk that blah blah
That la la, that ra ra shit
And I'm so done I'm so over it
Sometime I mess up, I f-up, I hit and miss
But it's okay I'm cool with it

[Chorus]
I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can't color inside the lines cause
I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece
And I, I wanna hang with the greats
Got a way to go, but it's worth the wait
You haven't seen the best of me
I'm still working on my masterpiece

[Verse 2]
Those who mind, don't matter
Those who matter, don't mind
If you don't catch what I'm throwing
Then I leave you behind
Gone in a flash
And I ain't living like that

[Pre-Chorus 2]
They talk that blah blah
That la la, that ra ra shit
Go with the punches, and take the hits
Sometimes I mess up, I f-up, I swing and miss
But it's okay, I'm cool with it

[Chorus]
I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can't color inside the lines
I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working on my masterpiece
And I, I wanna hang with the greats
Got a way to go, but it's worth the wait
You haven't seen the best of me
I'm still working on my masterpiece

I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can't color inside the lines
I'm perfectly incomplete
I'm still working masterpiece, masterpiece, masterpiece

[Chorus]
I still fall on my face sometimes (I still fall)
And I can't color inside the lines (inside the lines)
I'm perfectly incomplete (I'm perfectly incomplete)
I'm still working on my masterpiece (I'm a masterpiece)
I wanna hang with the greats (oh with the greats)
Got a way to but it's worth the wait (whoa, oh baby)
You haven't seen the best of me (b-b-b-best of me)
I'm still working on my masterpiece (I'm still working on my masterpiece)

Still working on, still working on
Still working on my masterpiece

Up - Olly Murs ft. Demi Lovato
I drew a broken heart
Right on your window pane
Waited for your reply
Here in the pouring rain
Leave me some kind of sign
I know the hurt won't pause yeah
Just tell me it's not the end of the line
Just tell me it's not the end of the line

I never meant to break your heart
I won't let this plane go down
I never meant to make you cry
I'll do what it takes to make this fly
You gotta hold on
Hold on to what you're feeling
That feeling is the best thing
The best thing alright
I'm gonna place my bet on us
I know this love is heading in the same direction
And that's up

You drew a question mark
But you know what I want
I wanna turn the clock yeah
Right back to where it was
So let's a build a bridge yeah
From your side to mine
I'll be the one to cross over
Just tell me it's not the end of the line
Just tell me it's not the end of the line

I never meant to break your heart
I won't let this plane go down
I never meant to make you cry
I'll do what it takes to make this fly
You gotta hold on
Hold on to what you're feeling
That feeling is the best thing
The best thing alright
I'm gonna place my bet on us
I know this love is heading in the same direction
And that's up

Girl I know we could climb back to where we were then

Feel it here in my heart
Put my heart in your hand
Well I hope and I pray that you do understand
If you did all you have to say is
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
I'm waiting for you
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

I never meant to break your heart
I won't let this plane go down
I never meant to make you cry
I'll do what it takes to make this fly
You gotta hold on
Hold on to what you're feeling
That feeling is the best thing
The best thing alright
I'm gonna place my bet on us
I know this love is heading in the same direction
And that's up

OhMyG! I was just praying for Demi to come here and now it's happening! :)

Demi Lovato will be here on April 30, 2015 at Mall of Asia Arena. I wasn't able to see her the last time she was here but this year, I wouldn't miss the chance to see her! :)
They haven't announced the ticket prices yet but I need to double up saving coz 2015 is a hell year of concerts!

Book: To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

“Love is scary: it changes; it can go away. That's the part of the risk. I don't want to be scared anymore.”
15749186
★★★★/★★★★★
Synopsis from Goodreads:
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

After reading this book, it made me move all my letters into somewhere safer. And somewhere no one can find. Even my sisters! Like Lara Jean, I also write letters to people I really can't express my feelings to. I've written a lot of letters waiting to be read by their rightful owner but never in a gazillion years I will send them and let them be read. Never! Or maybe when I'm 60 or 70, just for a good time laugh.

It's my first book of Jenny Han and I loved it. Though I really want more after the ending I guess that's just how some book end. But really, she should've at least written what Lara Jean has to say to Peter. Right?

The books tells the story of Lara Jean who writes a goodbye letter to all the boys she really can't express her feelings to. She writes a goodbye letter for them and after that seals her feelings along with it. One day her letters get delivered to all the boys she's written to and it starts to bring back old feelings. Like when Josh, her sister's ex-boyfriend, gets the letter and talks to her about it. Now that her sister, Margot, is in Scotland for college and she is left with Josh she starts to realize that maybe she's really not over Josh. Because when she's confronted by Josh, she lies to his face about having a boyfriend. Which she doesn't really have. Now she has to convince herself that she's really over Josh and that she would never betray Margot for loving her ex-boyfriend. The story continues as Lara Jean makes a contract with Peter, the first boy on the list she wrote a letter to, and meeting the other boys on the list. Peter agrees to pretend to be her boyfriend just to make Josh see that she's really over him and the things on the letter she wrote doesn't mean anything anymore. Peter goes along with her plan because he too wants to make Genevieve, his ex-girlfriend, to see that she doesn't own him, that he can be with someone who is not her.
It's a fun read as Lara Jean and Peter continue their little pretend game because you can see that along the way they start to develop, or remember, their feelings for each other. Peter starts to like Lara Jean's little sister, Kitty, and he wakes up a little early than usual just to pick up Lara Jean for school.

I also love the book because I can relate to Lara Jean. Like her, I also have sisters, three, and like I said I've written letters to different people too but never send them. Though she just wrote letters to all the boys she'd loved before, I write letters to all people in my life. Anyway, the story is good though sometimes Peter confuses me. There are times that you feel like she really likes Lara Jean but then there are moments you want to strangle him because he keeps coming back to Genevieve. Ugh! But then it's so sweet of him to write notes for Lara Jean everyday.

The book also shows the family of Lara Jean, having no mother, a kind father and two sisters who she wouldn't trade for the world. Lara Jean loves her sisters more than anything in the world that she would rather forget her love for Josh for the sake of Margot. She also becomes more mature as Margot leaves for Scotland because Kitty needs a mother figure and now that Margot is away, she has to be the responsible older sister like Margot always is.  She tries her best to be as good as Margot for Kitty.

Just read the book if you want to know what I'm talking about. It's a good read and I'm sure you'll love it too! :)

Music and Bands 2015 \m/

Last year had been a good year for bands and other music artists and a lot of them came here in the Philippines to hold a concert for all their fans. I wasn't lucky enough to see all of my favorites but will definitely see them the next time.

Now another year has come and I'm sure 2015 would be a year full of surprises and other good things from our favorite bands and artists. And by surprises and other good things, I mean new albums, new music videos, new shows and new band merch!!!

Simple Plan started it by releasing a new song, "Boom", last year which they performed at their annual Simple Plan Foundation event. They've also been writing new songs for their upcoming album and who's not excited about it?

video from girlonfire

Then there's All Time Low who just released a new song "Something's Gotta Give" this morning over at Radio 1 Breakfast Show. I've listened to it over and over and it's still on repeat until now. I just missed the boys so much I couldn't stop listening! Their new album is called Future Hearts and it has 13 tracks including Something's Gotta Give. You can stream the song here.

Other bands like The Maine, This Century, Lawson, Fall Out Boy, Bastille, 5 Seconds of Summer are also going to release new album this year and I don't think this year couldn't get any more better because Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato and a lot more great artists are in the process of writing new songs too. See? I told you 2015 is going to rock! \m/ I just wish Boys Like Girls will surprise us too!!! I've been dying to hear new songs from them. :)

We also have a lot of great shows/concerts coming up this year. Bastille was just here last January 5th and British band The 1975, who captured everyone's heart when they visited last year, will once again make girls go wild with their hit songs like "Girls", "Chocolate" and my personal favorite, "Heart Out" on January 24th at MOA Arena. Singer Michael Buble will also be here on January 31st for the third time for his Asia Tour. What we have next is another British band, The Vamps, who will be opening February with a great show for everyone at MOA Arena. I would love to hear "Somebody to You" and "Another World" live. There are 2 other shows coming up this February, New Found Glory Live in Manila on February 8th which will be held at SM Skydome and Boyce Avenue will serenade everyone on Valentine's Day at Smart Araneta Coliseum. March is another month which everyone is most excited about because we have 4 major concerts happening and I know everyone is very excited for two of those because I am! Christina Perri will be here on March 5th at Smart Araneta Coliseum and Incubus will be here on March 13th at MOA Arena. And finally, the man every girl dreams of dancing with (especially with the song Thinking Out Loud) Ed Sheeran will be here! (*screams) He will be making every girl's heart flutter on March 12th at MOA Arena. But as you know, tickets are already sold out. (*cries) And there's this another British group who you wouldn't miss the show for the world. I mean, who doesn't want to see One Direction live? (I dare you raise your hand!) Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam will be here for their 2-day show, March 21-22 at the MOA Concert Grounds. Now tell me you're not excited! :) We only have one band coming on April but everyone is surely excited about this one too. The Script will be here for the third time on April 17th at MOA Arena. (Where's the Good in Goodbye eh?) Another artist we love these days because of hits like "Stay With" me and "Latch", Sam Smith will also be coming on May 10th.
