Goodbye 2014...

Less than 6 hours before the last page of 2014 ends!

It's been a great, crazy, happy, wild, stressful, fun year. A lot had happened that changed our lives either a little better or a little not so better. Things that taught us lessons, people that changed our lives, memories we will keep forever. I'm so thankful for those who stayed with me throughout the year, the people I always laugh with, the people I go crazy with, the people who are my life. The people I got mad with but still I love. I'm also thankful for everything that I had, experienced, got, and everyone I met, reunited with, and everywhere I've been to.

2014 has been good to me. It taught me so much in life from appreciating myself to letting myself trust my judgement. It's also been a hard year but thanks to my family and friends who always supported me that I got through it. Now another year is coming and I hope it would be better than this year. I know 2014 has been a blast but I hope 2015 would be even better!! :)

CHRISTMAS 2014! :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We had our annual reunion last Dec 25th and it was fuuuuun! Everyone was there except for those who are in the states which were a lot including Daddy and the family of Tita Dorris.

The host was the family of Lolo Ruding. We started past 7 in the evening with a prayer then dinner since everyone was already hungry. There were a lot of foods, pasta, chicken, beef, pork and everyone enjoyed them. Then we proceeded with fun games, first for the kids then for us teens (even if I'm not a teen anymore), then for adults. The game for us was charades and it was crazy fun! We were grouped by 6, on my team I had my sisters, Yana and Ate Anne, then Tita Terry and my cousins, Angeline and Ate Arlene. On the other group were Tito, my cousins, Kenneth, JJ, Inah, Rainne and Tita Tess. It was charade with a twist. In the usual charade there's only one who will act and the rest will guess what he's trying to act. But in our game, only one will guess what the rest were trying to act. Our category was Disney Movies and of course we won because my sisters and I are Disney addicts. There was also one round and it was funny because all we had to do was point to our faces then to Tito who was on the other group. By that Ate Anne already got the answer Beauty and the Beast and everyone laughed. Lol.

We all had a good time and we really enjoyed the night. This reunion is the only time of the year where we can catch up with each other especially when most of us live far away now like in the US and only come back during Christmas. It was a night well spent with my family.

Day 1. A Christmas Prayer.

Wasn't able to post this last December 25th but this was my Christmas Prayer.

Jesus, Happy Birthday! We've been waiting for this day to come and now it's finally here. Happy Happy Birthday! We thank you for being born here with us. I have a lot of wishes right now but there are only two I ask today, for everyone to be happy and World Peace. :) Thank you and I love you! :)

It was a simple prayer but it came from my heart.

Day 3. Make a Christmas Card.

Day 4. Favorite Christmas Movie.

There are a lot of awesome Christmas movies. There are the Home Alone series, The Polar Express, A Christmas Carol and of course the Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies. I love Christmas movies that I watch them again and again even if it's not Christmas. 

One of my favorites is Christmas is Boston. It's a story about two pen pals who are supposed to meet each other after years of just writing to each other. The girl lives in Boston and so it happens that the guy, a toy inventor, has a toy convention to attend to in Boston. Everything is great except for one little tiny lie they send to each other. They're supposed to send a picture of them but they send the photo of their bestfriends instead.  Now as the time of their meeting gets closer, the girl has to tell her bestfriend about what she's done and make her agree to meet the guy. The guy needs to convince his bestfriend too.The story gets better when their bestfriends start to fall with each other. It's a funny and good movie about friendship, love and everything in between.

Day 5. Give or Receive?

It always feels nice if you receive something from someone. But doesn't it feel nicer if you give something to someone seeing that you make him/her happy? 

I like the idea of giving without asking something in return. It just shows that you feel good about sharing or giving something to people and it makes you happy because you know that you make them happy. Giving is an act that makes you closer to other people. It makes you feel good and it makes you closer to God. God loves generous people so if you are generous then God is closer to you. :)

Day 6. Best Gift you want to receive.

It's always great to receive gifts from someone. Especially when it's something you really really want. A bag, a book, a gadget or some action figures you really love.

There's only one gift I really really want to receive this Christmas. I would say "World Peace" but it's already a cliche so I wouldn't say it. Instead I want a ticket. I don't care where just as long as it's somewhere I haven't been to. Somewhere new. Coz isn't it nice to go somewhere new with a lot of things to discover and new people to meet? I love going to different places so a ticket would be a really nice gift this Christmas! :)

Day 7. Describe your Perfect Christmas Day.

 My family. My friends. Christmas Eve Mass. Noche Buena. Gifts. Laughter.

These would be enough for me.

Spending the day with my family and friends just having a good time and a lot of laughter would be my perfect Christmas Day. And of course with a lot of foods. :)

Day 9. A Favorite Christmas Tradition.

Simbang Gabi has always been a Christmas tradition to us Filipinos. It is where we spend 9 days/nights attending masses and anticipating the birth of Jesus Christ. We believe that when we complete these 9 days/nights of simbang gabi then God will grant us a special wish. 

I've been attending Simbang Gabi for 8 years now. We started going with our Grandmother but now it's just me, yana and aly. And I've always wanted to go with my whole family but I guess timing is never on our side. But I still hope that one day the 6 of us will get to attend it together.

Now it's the 3rd day of simbang gabi and we're attending the 4am mass. Six to go and only 8 days until Christmas!

I'm not sure how old I was in this photo but I still can remember that smile. I was happy, we were happy because it was Christmas! :)

Day 11. A Favorite Christmas Carol.

There are so many good Christmas Carols but my favorite is Frosty the Snowman. I don't know why but it makes me sing along everytime it is playing. I just love it. 

And try not to sing along.

Another song that I love is My Grown Up Christmas List by Kelly Clarkson. It is one of those many Christmas songs that makes me feel the spirit of Christmas. It's a nice song. :)

Summer in November ☂ ☂

It's never too late to have summer in November, right?

So my friends and I were off from work so we decided to have a little out of town. :) We went to Puerto Galera last November 15th and it was a nice trip. We enjoyed it and had so much fun though it was just an overnight. It was also our first out of town as a group in 8 years so we were really excited!

The trip was freakin' 7 hours because; 1.) Larra was late. 2.) The boat had some problem so we had to stop for almost half an hour in the middle of the ocean and 3.) We had a lot of stop overs. But still, it was a nice trip. 

It was two days of just swimming, eating, snorkeling, drinking, chatting, having fun and EATING! 

 Spending time with them made me realize how blessed I am to have bestfriends like them. They never fail to make me smile or laugh or feel better everytime. We've known each other for almost 9 years now and still we always surprise each other with new things every time we're together. And it's nice to get to know them even more and more though we've been bestfriends for a long time already. 

Next time we want to have a longer vacation maybe in Palawan or somewhere else. Hopefully it happens soooon! :)
