Book: Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Funny. Cute. Sweet. 

Stephanie Perkins did it again. Lola and The Boy Next Door gives us yet another cute romance between Lola and Cricket and a day or two, okay, maybe a week of not getting over them. The story is basically about Lola and The Boys Next Door (tsk!) and you know what happens next. 

I liked the book but I can't say that I liked it more than Anna and The French Kiss. I think Anna and St. Clair will always be my favorites. 

Anyhoo, it's a girl-falls-in-love-again-after-seeing-her-childhood-friend story that will leave you swooning over Cricket. Oh.

The second season picks up after Vincent was captured by Muirfield. 

The story continues with Catherine finally locating where Vincent is after months of tracking him down. But this time, Vincent doesn't seem know them. Muirfield must've erased his memories in order to control him and so Vincent would do as he says.

This season, Cat and Vincent's relationship is put to test even more now that Vincent can't remember Cat. But Catherine would stop at nothing just to give Vincent his memories back and to make Muirfield pay for what he's done to him. 

Now that Vincent doesn't have his memories, Catherine tries to move on, to let him go. She starts a relationship with Gabe trying to convince herself that she can forget about Vincent. But who is she fooling? Vincent also starts to make a connection with Tori, a wealthy socialite who has discovered that she's also a Beast. Because of their shared beast instincts, they decided to stick together so they can watch and protect each other. But after Tori's death later in the season, Vincent realizes that he is still in love with Catherine. He tries to win her back but Catherine reasons that Gabe is safer now that he's not a beast anymore.

Aside form their love story, this season also introduces us to new characters like Cat's birth father, Agent Reynolds, who has a lot to do with Beasts, Tori, whose father's skeleton reveals more about Beast DNA which later will bring them to a mysterious gem, and Dana and Sam Landon, who have secrets relating to, of course, Beasts.

Towards the end of the season, Catherine realizes that she, too, is still in love with Vincent so she tells Gabe about it which he doesn't take so well. Gabe reasons that Vincent is dangerous but Cat doesn't care. 

  

Hello, Mr. Keller. ♥

 The break-up furious Gabe even more now that Vincent has Catherine again. His jealousy makes him do stupid things like suspending Cat and Tess from the police force and framing Vincent for murder he didn't do. His rage also triggers something that makes him transforms back to being a Beast. It becomes much worse when he starts killing people that are close to Cat and Vincent. J.T. is one of his victims but thankfully he survives with the help of mysterious agents. By the end of the season, Gabe gets killed by Vincent.

Having solved Muirfield's case and Agent Reynolds' involvement, proving Vincent's innocence on the murder case, saving J.T., ending Gabe's misery and being together again, Cat and Vincent can now live happily ever after. Until those agents who saved J.T. show up again and explain to them what will happen next.

But Cat and Vincent are tired of having Beasts problem so they decided to forget about them for now and just try to live as normal as they can. And to kiss for now. ♥

18th :)

My little sis not so little anymore. 

Yana just turned 18 last July 5. Finally we're both 18. Lol. :)

It was a little special because both our parents are here for her birthday. My mom's attendance was supposedly a secret but she accidentally mentioned it over the phone. We wanted to act like we didn't hear it but we were too excited not to talk about it. But still it was a special gift for Yana. :) 
We celebrated with her friends at Luyong Restaurant. It wasn't  a big celebration but she invited some of her high school friends and we all had a blast. It was a fun and great day! We ate and laughed and just enjoyed the night. :) We went home after and continued the fun. Some of her friends stayed overnight. :)

I love going to different places, and though I haven't been to many place before, I know someday I'm gonna see the world. Asia, Europe, America, Australia, Africa and who knows I'll be in Antarctica someday. :)

There are so many reasons why people travel. Some travel because it's the nature of their work. Some travel because they want to experience new things. Some want to meet new people or learn other cultures. There are also some who travel because they want to find themselves and others just to have fun and enjoy things. Some also consider traveling as a challenge and I think it's a good one. Especially going to places that are really alien to you. But mostly, people travel to explore new places and  discover new things. 

 

 Traveling is also a good way to collect good memories. Just imagine when you're already old and you look at your photo albums and see those pictures you took when you used to visit different places. It's such a nice way to reminisce and remember your old days.

Story: Finding Mr. Alexander

This is my second story so far and I don't know what's with me and the name Alexander but I just love it. 

The story is about a girl lying to her family about having a perfect boyfriend. She really didn't think that there would be a guy like him (like the one she's describing to her family) and imagine her surprise when she finally meets that guy only to disappoint her. It's a fun and exciting story about girl meets boy and everything in between.

Prologue

I hate beers and plastics and history and cockroaches but do you know what I hate the most? What I hate the most is the handsome-smart -slash-playboy-millionaire-slash-sexy-math-genius-slash-Mr-know-it-all Alex! In short, I hate Alexander Matthew Johnson the most who is everything I've been telling and describing to my family for years now as my boyfriend minus his bad sides. And believe me when I say that his bad sides are really really bad. Really! They include cutting classes, bullying, being a jerk, kissing and making out with every girl in the campus, drinking, clubbing and breaking every girl's heart. I've seen these before. But he's my last and only and impossible hope. I should ask him out. I must ask him out. I should make him my boyfriend even just for a day. I should beg him. Or just blackmail him. Or else, I die. Seriously. Because when you're young and foolish and you lie about having a hot, handsome, smart boyfriend to your family who lives across the world and is coming over just to meet him, then your last option would be to present them all the lies you've been telling them for four years. And never in my whole life I've imagined that my first boyfriend, well, imaginary first boyfriend, would be true. And living and breathing and attending my same classes.

I love writing different stories and I'm really excited to finish this one. :)

Movie: Transformers: Age of Extinction

I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to Transformers: Age of Extinction block screening at IMAX SM Aura last June 25, 2014. I went with my sister and we enjoyed it. :)

I'm a fan of Transformers and I was happy we were able to watch it for free. And in IMAX. :P I love the movies and to be honest, I was a little disappointed when I found out that Shia and the previous casts won't be on this one anymore. Just how nice is it to see Josh Duhamel fight those decepticons again? Ugh! Unfortunately he wasn't there. 

The first three movies were bad ass and I think I can't say the same with this one. I love Mark Wahlberg but the movie is, I don't know, something I wasn't expecting. It was funny and I love the action scenes but I wanted more, I wanted better plot. I also think that Nicola Peltz wasn't right for the role of Tessa. I just hope that the next movie will be better. :)
